Character: Ianto Jones. Series/Fandom: Torchwood. Original or Template version: Template. Apartment: W-7, 3-6 Marked? Yes - on the back of his left shoulder. Age: 28 Gender: Male. Species: Human. Sexuality: Bisexual. Appearance: Ianto is certainly not a man to go unnoticed: a handsome figure standing just under six feet, he can typical be found dressed in a suit with a tray of mugs in his hands. The suit is what makes him him - on occassion he'll dress in civilian clothing, which is typically comfortably slacks and a zippered sweatshirt. But most often he can be seen in the base in his suit minus the jacket, keeping to himself. His expression is always a calm one, his face having this almost soft look to it. Dark hair cropped short and his eyes seeming to hide everything about him, Ianto is certainly a mystery of his own. Of course he knows how to smile - share a joke wiht him and he'll chuckle. Get him in private... well, only one person would know that. Personality: It is typical of him to keep to himself whenever he is not keeping himself busy cleaning up after Torchwood. A gentleman and intelligent, he never says much about himself if at all. In the episode "Cyberwoman", however, you learn that he has been keeping a secret from the rest of the team in the basements of the base, his girlfriend who had been converted into a cyberwoman. Despite the dangers of this he was determined to save her, but it was all in vain. Because of the consequences it only made the distance grow between himself and the rest of the team. But there is certainly the flirtatious banter between himself and Jack in the beginning of the series but as it progresses, it proves to be something more for Ianto. He also is not used to on-site work as the rest of his team is. In "Countrycide" he admits to wondering how the others became accustomed to the adrenaline rushes. Your a-typical support man through and through, complete with tea-brewing and takeout-ordering skills. Abilities/Skills: Most famous for brewing a mean pot of coffee, he can always make a delicious cup of tea or order out for the crew. Typically it's either Chinese or pizza, and he's smart enough not to order said pizza under the name of "Torchwood" (see: Owen). When it comes to working, however, he is the go-to man for covering up any deaths or hacking into other computers/networks to clean up after the team. in the beginning, "Everything Changes" he was the one to hack into Gwen's computer and delete her document on Torchwood after she was given the amnesia pill. Now, even though he is usually the support man, he still has skills enough to work and be involved with a case hands on. In both "Countrycide" and "Captain Jack Harkness" he is seen using a gun, though according to Owen he's "a crap-shot". Weaknesses: His most commending attribute is also his greatest weakness. His love and loyalty to Lisa was the kindling that led to the disaster that occurred in "Cyberwoman". Without telling any of the others he kept Lisa in Torchwood without them knowing. And his attempts to save her proved to be futile; Even when facing the truth that there was no stopping her as she tried to convert others, leading to two deaths as well as her own, Ianto argued with Jack to spare her. He had chosen his loyalty to her than his team. And then again in "Captain Jack Harkness", he was determined to keep Jack's orders clear even with the risk of losing him that he shot Owen to stop the rift from being opened again. History: being redone because the player fails ahrdcore. ♥ |
